Fete Gets Under Way
July 17th 2005
We hope they're serving pancakes!
An activity packed day looks set to bring in the hoiliday
crowds.
A Beatles tribute band, 'The Beatles Beat' will perform two
45 minute sets on the Village Green only yards from where
the original 'fab four' graced the stage at Hulme Hall, over
forty years earlier in 1962.
The list of attractions - fire eating demonstrations, circus
skills, pony rides, stalls, fairground rides, children's games,
face painting and 1940s costumed stall holders - is impressive
and will cater for all (well most!) members of the family.
Volunteers at Christ Church will be serving cream teas and
there will be a hog roast as well as a beef -burger van.
The fete starts at 11am with the first event commencing at
11.15am (circus skills demonstrations in the event arena).
The vintage cars will be arriving at approximately 2.10pm
coming past the War Memorial and down to the field next to
the Lady Lever Art Gallery.
The event is organised by the Port Sunlight Village Trust
